I know this may sound stupid girls but whats the best thing for descaling a kettle? I know you can buy kettle descalers but the ones I have saw seem a bit highly priced. (maybe I am just being stingy!!) lol Any ideas, be really really really grateful x x x

I use white vinegar. Pour it into the kettle & when it stops fizzing switch the kettle on, just to warm not boil. It smells like vomit but works well

Use any old vinegar (brown, white) tip the bottle in, leave it overnight, cold. Rinse out.

I use this descaler to descale my kettle. What i do is fill up my kettle half way and then boil the water. Give the kettle about 2 minutes to simmer down before pouring the sachet in and wait about 10 minutes for it to do it's magic and it will remove almost all of the limescale.

I second Someday......only do not let it boil. I did and it was epic! Blush

I put half and half (water and vinegar) and boil. If it's really grotty (as at work) then I have to do it twice. Works wonderfully
