Wanted: wine glasses that fit in the dishwasher

I'm after some "everyday" wine glasses that fit in the dishwasher but aren't too chunky. Any suggestions? I have found a lot which are dishwasher safe but don't actually fit in the dishwasher. I don't want to spend too much as they will eventually go cloudy. We did have four perfect ones but over the years three have broken. We have plenty of "proper" wine glasses but I can't be bothered with the faff of hand washing for just one glass of wine and it looks like we 're complete soaks if I wait a couple of days and do a few of them at once

I've never had a wine glass that didn't fit in the dishwasher. Can you lower your top rack?

i'd like some as well but don't mind chucky style as we break so easily

had some jamie oliver ones..but they were chunky..doesnt do them anymore

we put ours in lying almost on their sides at about 45degree angle

Drink wine from a short tumbler. I only get the stemmed glasses out when we have visitors.

What make of dishwasher do you have? I have no trouble fitting wine glasses in mine.

The cheapest of cheap ones from Morrisons are the best in the dishwasher. A box of six is around 2 quid. Their stems just fit in the top basket if you put them at a slight angle, resting against the side with 2 spikes inside the glass to stop it moving.

I get short stemmed ones from Zara Home. They have plain and patterned ones.

I have some lovely stemless ones from habitat.

how much space do you have?

Mine are from asda. 6 for £1.50 but it looks like they don't sell them anymore.

I didn't think I was going to get any replies to this so thank you! No, we can't adjust the basket... I didn't know you could get dishwashers that could but is something I will bear in mind when we replace this one (useful for other things as well as wine glasses!).
It sounds as though I need to look at supermarket ranges. I think my search so far has been a bit high end!

We use short stem ones, they are a trendy round bowl shape with a short chunky stem and are also used in one of the well known Italian restaurant chains, I forget the name, have a look on Amazon.

I love the ravenhead tulip ones, and I've never had one go cloudy. However the chunkiness is part of the appeal for me so maybe better for ggirl than OP.

Our Sainsbury's cheapo ones do. They won't win style contests but they're absolutely standard wine glasses.

Ikea white wine glasses

I just get bog standard Paris goblets (I think they're called). I don't like poncy wine glasses really.

Our latest ones came from Homebase. Before that Habitat (believe it or not, they were one of the first to come out with cheap basic wine glasses!). I like Sainsbury's and Waitrose for my crockery, oven to table ware and mugs these days.

We did have really nice ones with twisted stems, but some bugger nicked them along with my engagement ring etc when we were burgled. There is something to be said for cheap things.

I've got some Dartington, wine glasses they fit in to my dishwasher without any issues. The glasses themselves are really good quality but they are a little pricey but well worth the money.

Have you tried them on the bottom rack? Ours have four sneaky spots that they're ok in, in the middle where the prongs stop and start and in a corner at the back.
