Ok
If you have a warm sunny day (not at the moment in the UK obviously but nice here in NZ) ...
As you take your washing out of the machine shake it out well and fold it before putting it into the basket.
When hanging it out on the line really shake it out well again.

This seems to be a bit time consuming but worth hours in the end.

When it is dry take each piece, shake it, smooth it (I smooth it down my chest and tummy) then fold it carefully (as it would be after ironing) into the basket. Put folded towels on top of the folded pile in the basket for a bit of weight. Leave the basket in the warmth of the sun for at least an hour preferably the rest of the afternoon.

Voila ... perfectly pressed clothes ... no need for ironing. In the summer it saves you hours of ironing ...

if you spill anythig oily on your clothes-just sprinkle talcum powder on it and leave for a few hours.then just brush off and wash clothes as per normal.it is amazing!!
it has even worked on a silk dress-though can't vouch for that for sure!!!

Don't sweat petty things and don't pet sweaty things.

pampers babywipes remove pretty much everything from carpet.
dread to think what they do to dc's bums

mandiplusryan · 18/02/2007 19:54

to get most stains out of carpets, i use warm water with washing up liquid and scrup. once dry, hover. for the most stubbonest stains u may need to do it again. but if you want to do it in a day or couple of hours, don't let your little one help. mine decided to tip all the water out. that was two days ago and the carpet is finally dry.
