How to clean the slow cooker pot.

Made pulled pork in the slow cooker on Tuesday. Have soaked the pot (with crusty, crystallised bits) in Fairy liquid and hot water for two nights but cannot get it clean! Is it safe to use a scourer? Help, please!

Mine is ceramic and a scotch-brite type scouring pad would be safe, but I've never need to use one, a soak in washing up liquid and then dishwasher has always been fine.
However, you could try a plastic (non stick) scouring pad.
Another trick with burned on residue is to make a paste with bicarbonate of soda and leave that on overnight. Soaking in water and biological laundry power can also be effective.

Have you tried that Fairy power spray that you spray on and leave? I find that works well on tricky dishes.

I find the bicarbonate of soda works quite well! I've also got a plastic scraper (for plastering I think) which is handy to get the big bits off.

I stick mine in the dishwasher Blush

Thanks. Will try all the tips given.
