Recyling plastic bags (not carriers)

All my local supermarkets have removed their plastic recycling bins. I hardly every use carriers but still get some plastic e.g. Hovis granary loaves come in small recyclable plastic bags (so no use to foodbanks or charity shops, for example).

Where oh where can I recycle them?

Also noticed my local ASDA has now removed their battery recycle bins. What is going on? Shock

Local recycling centre aka the tip? You can definitely recycle batteries and all manner of stuff there. We have recycling bins so plastics go in the bin which is emptied once a fortnight.

Thanks wooooo: our recycling bins don't take plastic bags at all. Looks as if I need to drive the 13 miles to the nearest recycling centre then...
