Housework and baby wearing

My little ds (5 weeks) will only nap during the day in his sling and I'm gradually getting the hang of doing other tasks while he's asleep. I was wondering what thing other people managed to get done whilst wearing their baby?

So far I have managed washing up, peeling veg, doing laundry, making cheesey scones and cleaning the bathroom sink. Haven't yet mastered doing them all at the same time though!

Wow christmaspud you are doing well!!! I couldn't manage much as I am only weeny and my arms were to short to reach round my DS and into the sink etc! Its a bit easier now as he's old enough to ride on my back, although it does mean I am rapidly going bald as he enjoys pulling my hair out!!

Yeah stop all that work now, you won't get another excuse to take it easy for a while .
My friend used to hoover with a baby on her front. I used to wear my DS but I've never done much in the way of housework (DH hoovers and irons.) I'm off to make cheese scones now, thanks for the inspiration.

Ah that's good then, I'll leave it at that for the time being. It's quite good but at the moment I feel nervous about doing anything to vigerous as his head is so wobbly - especially as he is deep asleep. I like to be able to make or do something though. Gives me the illusion if having some sort of life!

I wish my mother in law was similarly impressed.

Dh used to hoover with ds on his front - the noise used to send him straight to sleep!! I would say anything other than cooking because of the risk of burns...
