You know how we separate colours for washing? Do you keep them separate for tumble drying?

Hello,

Is it ok to tumble dry say a white tshirt and a dark tshirt together?

Thanks!

I always tumble things regardless of colours. But I always hang stuff up for a bit before tumbling and only tumble it when it's just a bit damp to get it all the way to dry, rather than starting from sopping wet

in a word...no.
I always mix drying loads. I don't tumble dry all the clothes so I will take out the non-tumble dry stuff to hang up and make 1 drying load out of a few washes. I do dry the bedding and the towels on their own though

I would never dry smart shirts with anything too different in colour (so, eg, white/cream/pale pastels OK together, but white/navy/red not OK together). Dark colours leaving fluff on whites is awful - it won't shake or brush off.

I find that it depends on the fabric. Some shed fluff worse than others. New jeans and towels are really bad for shedding.
