How to clean cashmere without it shrinking

I find that cashmere jumpers ALWAYS shrink when washed, even if I handwash them in cold water. I'm wondering about steam cleaning them (with a hand held steam cleaner) - does anyone know whether that would shrink them? (As steam is hot and wet, I'm thinking it might!) Thanks for any advice!

Definitely don't steam.
Gentle handwashing in lukewarm water followed by drying flat at room temperature isn't shrinking mine so I am not sure why you're having trouble - maybe it's a different make of cashmere. Mine is Pure and I have been very impressed with the quality.
