How often to clean behind furniture?

I had occasion to move some heavy bookcases, and a chest of drawers, and the dust/dirt behind them was amazing, and mortifying.

How often should the good house-husband clean behind furniture? As you can imagine, moving a bookcase is a major undertaking. I'm thinking... once a year, maybe?

For Santa coming.....

Every six months, whenever I believe there to be a lost remote/pair of glasses/important letter hidden behind there. Or when I need change and have already ransacked the piggy banks

Why would you bother doing it more regularly than that? Nobody sees it!

I tell myself I do it every school holiday but I think I'm kidding myself. The beds/sofa maybe as they are on casters so easy to move but not bookcases and things.

Under sofa - every couple of months.
Under bed - every six months or so.
Under bookcase - when move house.

Only if moving house.

Things in casters / easy to move - every couple of months.

Other stuff - when move house or get a new carpet / decorate.

Ours is attached to the wall so I don't move it at all but I take books out and dust it all about once a year. It takes ages as it is floor to ceiling. DH never thinks to do it.

I pull out the sofa once a week. Freezer - I use the slim attachment and hoover as far back as I can
Bookcases monthly. Bed also

TV unit weekly too

Wobbly is setting a high standard! Not sure I can live up to it; I looked behind the bed yesterday..................

2008, when I bought a new sofa.

Everyday .

Under/behind sofas: I try to do monthly, but to be honest, it is probably every 2-3; same with appliances. However, v.v. strict rules around no shoes on in the house and no eating in living room/bedrooms, so when items are moved, may find a stray pen and a bit of dust, but nothing else.

Wall units/bookshelves: every year or five

Sofa weekly
Beds 4 times a year
Fridge ... never it's built in
Bookcases , when decorating, every 3/4 years !!
