Help...febreze disaster

Someone recommended febreze spray to help get rid of slightly damp smell from fabric sofa in old farm building.

Really regretting using it as the lovely relatively new sofa now stinks of a ghastly air freshener type smell, it is vile. Any tips on how to get rid of the febreze smell gratefully received? Thank you.

Sprinkle with bicarbonate of soda, leave overnight and hoover off ??

As it dries, the smell should dissipate, unless you poured an entire bottle on it? Shock If you are in the grips of the heatwave we're having, leaving it outside should help air it.

I don't mind a bit of Febreze myself.

Thanks both!

Will try the bicarbonate soda trick. Yes a whole bottle of febreze was used Blush(it's a very large sofa)

I know it's stating the obvious, but are you able to get the sofa out of the barn/shed? It's going to smell musty until you do that, IMO.
