Bought a new washer dryer. DH (not an electrician) cut the plug off and wired it into the special fused socket thing (which isn't a socket just a switch). Then we discover the machine doesn't fit in the gap. Can't send it back now that we've cut the plug off. It hasn't been used and cost £599. How much could I sell it for? Need to work out the least expensive way of resolving the issue ie taking the hit on selling on and buying a new smaller one or getting someone in to rearrange the kitchen to make it fit. Arrggh.... Any views?
