Help! What electric device can I use to clean my sofa?

My sofa is only 6 months old and I want to keep this one in a better condition. I need some tbing electric I can use when the kids for example, have spilt something on without me knowing. I bought this small hand held steamer and it is rubbish. Has made no difference what so ever. Just left it damp. What can I buy, what have you used?

Just use a damp cloth?

No it doesn't work. There are stains already there that won't remove with elbow grease a cleaner. The material is strange with very small little sort of squares where things gather.

I haven't tried this but I have been tempted to buy one.

I have the spot cleaner! Its brilliant. I revived a vilely grubby sofa by using the steam cleaner to loosen the dirt then the bissell to remove it. Looks new. :)

It also did als with carpet stains and spills. Can you tell I love it?

Did Al's??? Deals. :(

I am a cleaner BTW, it wasn't my sofa.

Anothernamechanger1 · 07/09/2016 21:21

Thanks I wish, does it leave the sofa quite wet or just the usual dampness you would expect? Do you use chemicals in it I take it?

I use the bissell shampoo and oxy boost. You don't need much. Do the sofa in sections, ther bissell sucks the water out. If you have a dehumid use that overnight.

I've got a Vax steam cleaner that I use for getting stains off the sofa. It does a good job of the windows too.

What, that vax one is similar to the one I have which is rubbish?! Made no difference at all to the sofa, left it wet and not remotely clean? It streamed to so it obviously works ok..

I think this steam cleaner is what you're after.
