I've got 25 Georgian Windows = hundreds of smaller panes. Quite frankly they are full of dogs nose prints sticky finger marks and squashes flies and need a good clean. I'm psyching myself up to do it.. What products/tools do you use to get it smear free?

Hot water and an e cloth set - one cloth to clean, the other to dry streak free.

I use Karchers window cleaner. This cleaner will clean and dry your windows and leave them spotless.

Oh now I love a karchers but wonder if it won't be too wide for my panes. Do you know how long yours is? May try the quick wipes method first to get me going anyway

If you have white frames (esp. pvc but also paint) be careful with wet newspaper as the printers ink may stain and be very difficult to remove. In which case try an old cotton vest.

Ecloth , hot water and a drop of washing up liquid.
Cheap and very effective.

Another vote for E cloth window cloth, you don't need the set as any clean wet cloth will do for the first bit.
Just wipe windows with the wet and dry with the e cloth. Nothing beats them.

I use glass cleaner and kitchen roll, ideally Regina Blitz. Does the job brilliantly

Like above hot water with washing up liquid plus a dash of vinegar. Then use old scrunched up newspaper to dry them with, sounds daft and I was a skeptic initially too but it works a treat with little effort especially for odd shaped and sized windows.

Also, do it on a sunny day and wear sunglasses and make sure no one sees you you'll be able to see all the marks and remnant streaks much better.

My neighbour gave me a shot of a cleaner she has for glass, chrome.. cupboard doors etc and it's properly amazing stuff. Spray on, wipe with one side of a microfibre cloth and then buff with the other side.
I've just got my own bottle and it's fab, took me about two minutes to get my shower screen sparkling.
