Photo cake toppers

Going to use one of these for my mum's birthday cake this weekend. I have the wafer/rice paper one and was wondering if they go soggy once in contact with icing. Want to ice cake night before but not if her face is going to melt! Thank you.

Sorry, I've only used the ones that are printed onto a thin layer of fondant icing. The only time I used rice paper ones was when I bought some from a charity to use on cakes to sell at school. Unfortunately they bled into the icing and didn't look great, but thankfully the kids didn't care!

Did the photo come with instructions? Or from a website where there are reviews or could you email the supplier to ask? Sorry I can't offer more help. X
