Toys storage - you know the IKEA scarf thing with loads of holes? Well stuff teddies through them so just head peeping out

No bear deserves to be treated like that Sad

Never go to bed without plumping up your cushions, straightening your sofa throws and washing up, bar a mug or 2 on the side.
Don't bulk buy so much that you can't store it neatly.
Always meal plan and if possible, use online deliveries for most shopping.
Always make packed lunches, get clothes and bags ready the night before.

Have a DS like mine! Our day starts from 5am so I put a load in, dry the previous nights load, fold washing, empty dishwasher and other buts that need doing!

You tube life hack channels?😇
I can see myself watching them when I ought to be De cluttering!

Simplify your meal plan.

Have jacket potatoes with cheese and beans at least once a week and a frozen pizza never killed anyone!

When storing bed linen, put the sheet and duvet cover into on of the pillow cases. Pull out the pillow case and voila! It's all there without faffing around.

Buy less stuff.

Make sure the vinegar-on-clothes thing is white vinegar, not malt vinegar Grin

Vodka works too (wardrobe departments in theatres use it on sweaty costumes)

Does anyone know how I can get rid of blue biro marks on a beautiful pale blue velvet armchair without destroying the fabric? (Cover not removable)

BendydickCuminsnatch · 24/07/2016 18:11

Coola I tried the bin bag thing jst now and to my utter dismay the binbags I have are stupid tie handle ones so there's 2 together that are perforated at the handle, then 2 at the bottom seam, so it is not possible. Don't usually buy them though so hopefully the next ones I buy will be correctly formatted

Hope someone can help FantasticButtocks!!

Oh and also meant to say, I follow these local professional declutterers on FB and they posted about putting your toaster away in a cupboard after use. I've just done it and work surface already looks so much clearer and less stressful (4-slice black monstrosity), and I'm hoping it will stop me eating so much toast too :)

FantasticButtocks · 24/07/2016 19:36

The marks are very small, but the chair is soooo beautiful and fairly new...Sad

Flisspaps · 24/07/2016 21:36

I think hairspray is meant to remove biro...

Pastorkidneys · 19/10/2017 19:08

Wet, very fine grit sandpaper to clean oven and trays, works a treat.

Thanks to someone on here telling me about the genius invention that is the colour catcher, I know do my laundry in loads of “tops” and “bottoms” so they’re easier to put away when they’re dry.
