Someone didn't use a mat and has left a really large ring on my g-plan coffee table. Any tips on how to remove or minimise it?

It is under the varnish I think so may need some kind of oil to soak into it? Looks like this only a little less bad (phew)

To remove white rings left by wet glasses on wood furniture, mix equal parts vinegar and olive oil and apply it with a soft cloth while moving with the wood grain. Use another clean, soft cloth to shine it up. Hth

They are dried water. It seems to have done somthing to the varnish

They are huge patches ! Hard to remove them that big. Maybe you need to sand back completely?
