What vacuum cleaner would you recommend for a single mother that is trying to look after her house?

What are your thoughts on this one?

tidyhouseguru.com/morphy-richards-732005-2-in-1-review/

Is it too cheap? Should I invest more money in a vacuum cleaner? 2 in 1 seems great because it would save me lots of time? Please help.

Have you tried the Vacmaster , central vac accessories . They seem to be available at reasonable prices www.the-vacmaster.ca/accessories/

Miele vacuum, any one of the many models. Amazing machines.

Sebo!
We got given one by my MIL when we bought our first house. It was only meant to tide us over until we got something better. That was in 2003 and it's still going strong. It's at least 20 years old now.
I've tried to replace it twice - once with a Dyson and once with a Miele but neither were as good.

They're a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. You won't buy another vac for at least 10 years

Hi,

I purchased this upright vacuum cleaner online for £18 and it's fantastic. It's a nifty piece of kit and really lightweight so it will be easy for you to carry around.

I have the morphy Richards super vac and I love it. Use it in the car, stairs etc.

Miele, the cheapest cylinder will be better than the one you've linked to.

minx67 · 02/07/2016 15:43

Miele for me too, tried the rest, they just don't come close and I have kids and 2 heavily moulting dogs !

taytotayto111 · 10/07/2016 21:01

Miele for me too....I've tried them all. None come close to my amazing Miele. I said to my husband a few months ago....I hate to say it but I love this Miele. What a sad thing to say about a vacume cleaner !!!

First question, do you have lots of hard flooring and stairs? Get a cylinder.

Do you have carpet on the ground floor, and wear shoes? Get an upright.

Then decide how much you want to spend.

A upright has more to it than a cylinder, so for equivalent quality will cost more.

I work as a cleaner, so have used lots of different brands in other people's houses. Its a Henry for me all the way.

I've used: Miele, Henry, Beam, Dyson (several types) Vax, Morphy Richards, Electrolux and Hoover.

Henry for how long it lasts and not beats it on suction. Although he is heavy.

WittgensteinsBunny · 12/07/2016 16:34

Miele. 3 years strong and still amazing.

The Miele are good machines, but I have had to buy three bloody hoses as they keep splitting, do not seem as robust as on my previous Miele Hoover plastic is very thin & pliable, very disappointed.
