If not expensive, try putting in washing machine?

cozietoesie · 15/06/2016 14:21

What are they made from?

krisskross · 15/06/2016 15:17

I think they are leather. They are made to withstand going in the sea but not sure they'd be ok going through the machine.

Salt has to be worse for the shoe glue than going in the machine would be.
Could wash (in machine) with a mild hand soap if you don't like bio detergent.

They are silver so I'm worried about the silver colour coming off....but they do look grim now!

You could contact the manufacturer and ask.

But if they are grubby enough for you not to want to wear them, you have nothing to lose by putting them in the washing machine.

Have you tried an old toothbrush and some whitening toothpaste?

Thanks herat.... Of course, it never occurred to me to ask them! Doh!

KrissKross,

I would give Nikwax Sandal Wash a try. I use them to clean my sandals and it always cleans them right up!
