Anyone know where I can get an umbrella stand?

Have been brolly-less for ages, so bought some today, a couple of longish hook handled ones, and a golfing umbrella. Now I need summat to keep 'em in! I have looked through the Argos catalogue, can't see any in there, went on the internet, browsed a few websites, they're either not what I want or too expensive. Anyone seen any reasonably priced umbrella stands anywhere?

any here?

MummyPenguin · 18/01/2007 21:22

Thanks tortoise, this is one of the sites I looked at, but they're out of my price range, with the exception maybe of the rattan one, but I know the dog will chew that.

How about this ?

JackieNo · 18/01/2007 21:31

Um, not my taste , but might be yours?

JackieNo · 18/01/2007 21:32

(and the dogs definitely wouldn't chew those ones)

some on ebay!

Bit more expensive

I use a tall, narrow galvanised pot from Ikea, tall enough to cope with golfing unbrellas, cheap as chips

We just have a huge very solid glass vase. It was a present and I always hated it but it makes a good umbrella stand. It's very very heavy

That plain cream one looks nice, JackieNo, and isn't too expensive. I'm going to TK Maxx later today, I'll see what they have there. I did wonder about a very heavy vase.

I got one in TK Maxx it's metal, floral, a good size, and was a bargain at £7.99. Now my new brollies take pride of place in the hall.

Thanks for your links, guys!
