Recommend a free standing gas cooker

Can anyone recommend a good free standing gas cooker, preferably no more than £350 to order online for delivery and connection? I'd like a reasonably sized oven, maybe a double, automatic ignition.

What width of gap is it for? I would go for a Cannon but I think they make Hotpoint too that are a bit cheaper. e.g. here but I didn't look for other suppliers. Maybe try John Lewis and get a local gas plumber to connect it?

Black is a great colour for a cooker IME. Very forgiving!

The gap is 60 cm.

I'll have a look at Hotpoint and Cannon.

Take a look at this Hotpoint gas cooker. It's well within your price range and within the gap of 60CM.

Good Luck:-)

The oven is quite small?

No actual recommendations that people have used?

If you have a 60cm gap then do get a 60cm cooker, it should slide in with a few mm to spare each side. I'd try and find a nearly-new or ex display one rather than a 50cm one if budget is tight.

I just looked on the Which website, best gas cooker they rate is an Indesit, the Cannon and Hotpoint allegedly had ovens that didn't heat to the right temperature but I can't say I've had particular problems and I do quite a lot of baking!
