Hey Ivor I am here but not for long

EllieHsMum · 18/01/2007 15:30

omg my neighbours fence, which is the other side of our garden has now blown into our garden

JustIvor · 18/01/2007 15:32

Oh dear EllieHsMum. Give it a wide berth in case it blows again and flips over or something, won't you? Well done on your list!

EllieHsMum · 18/01/2007 15:39

Ellie & I will watch is blow like a sheet out the patio door windows. Our fence on right hand side has landed on our BBQ, goodbye BBQ!
THe neighbours fence which is on the left hand side of our garden has landed on the grass. Although it fences off the left hand side of our garden they put it up before we moved in. New houses built 2001. We paid for the fence on right hand side. I am sure they will ask use to contribute
The house on the right hand side is rented & I know the landlord wont contribute to ours.
In our last house same thing happened, right hand side fence replaced we paid in full, neighbour said she would contribute & never did. She had a lovely new fence
Hope you are making good progress with your flying.

ludaloo · 18/01/2007 16:18

I'm about as useful as a chocolate teapot today!

I have just about done a load of washing....
And done the dishwasher thats it.

I will read back through the thread in a second...just have to sort the little ones out.

xx

Jelley · 18/01/2007 16:32

I've had a non-FLYing day.
I washed up and did a load of washing.

We have an empty house next door and their fence is broken. Luckily dp is fairly handy and will fix it with bits of wood he has lying around.

Ivor 12 is way too late, as ds is up in the night at least once, still, and we get up at 6am, but I have to be really tired to give up the only"non-mum"tyime I get.

pippah · 18/01/2007 16:47

Hello again guys,

Thanks for the nice messages earlier in the week. Last night was a bit of a hard one after 2 not so bad ones. AFter a busy day viewing houses to buy (STRESS!!), 8 week DS2 woke for bf at 10.30 (this counts cos I went to bed at 9.30 as I was v tired!!), 1am, 3.30, 5.30 and 7am. But he is just the sweetest thing, so it makes it hard but bearable. Sooooo tiring with two little ones though (DS1 is 21 months).

The things that I have achieved today:

Fed DS2
Changed and dressed DS2(hubby sorted DS1 out today)
Washed and dressed me, put on make-up
Fed DS2 whilst giving DS1 a horsey ride on my legs!
Fed self
DS1 to nursery
Took DS2 to GPs for 8 week check and jabs, fed him afterwards
Cooked bean chilli for dinner tonight
Fed DS2, fed self lunch
Went to mum and baby group
Fed DS2
Currently on mn, feeding DS2!!

I am going to pop in here for time to time to chat, hope to be back FLYing at some point

JustIvor · 18/01/2007 16:48

I'm going to give a 11pm bedtime curfew a try then Jelley. Maybe I won't press any button to shut up the alarm clock and throw it onto dh's empty pillow and go back to sleep like I did this morning then. I know exactly what you mean about me time. Now that my children are older, they go to bed around 8.45pm so the evenings are shorter, it seems.

EllieHsMum · 18/01/2007 16:50

grouchyoscar · 18/01/2007 17:53

And well done everybody else. Honestly I couldn't do it without you

JustIvor · 18/01/2007 18:42

Hello all.

I agree grouchyoscar, I couldn't do it without this thread, either. I'm impressed with you making minestrone. Is it difficult? I feel guilty for not making cawl (Welsh lamb and vegetable soup) esp as I love it. I grew up enjoying cawl regularly so I feel I must knuckle down and make some. I'll make a point of asking my sister how to make it and asking her to keep in my lamb order the meat pieces used, instead of giving them away to relatives as happens currently. I've known that I won't use them so I've given them away.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 18/01/2007 19:01

ivor I had a quick game on the maths site - some of it is pretty hard! (numbers are not my thing!
grouchy you've done brilliantly today
and you pippah and satin well done getting anything done with such lo's to look after!
EHM hope the fence gets sorted easily - v stressful when you have unco-operative neighbours.
I've had a lazy day again today - we're all a bit run down. Dd and ds have been tearful all afternoon and I just have no get-up-and-go.

OH NO! as I was writing that ds came in and announced he felt sick and ...whoosh! the largest quanity of sick you've EVER seen came out of him I managed to push him across the landing to the bathroom so some went in the loo - the rest was in a trail from my desk to the loo...yuk yuk yuk yuk!!!! AND we have no wm to put all the towels etc we've used to mop it up with and my neighbour is now away for the weekend Not a good end to the day. Wm repair man hasn't phoned us back yet so have no idea how much longer I'll be without machine. I'll have to start knocking on other neighbours doors at this rate

Hi all.
Had quite a good day. Took DD1 to pre-school.Came home and did exercise DVD with friend(snig!). We survived it!
Then had to go and get DD1 from pre-school,town for shopping then home or lunch.

This afternoon i have dusted and tidyed the front room! My desk is soooo tidy.
Still toys out but otherwise looks ok.

Hope all poorly people feel better soon.

Poor DS shouldbe. And a nightmare having no WM. Hope he is ok now.

And well done to everyone for keeping busy today.
Fence down here too.Think it belongs to the neighbour though.

bewilderbeast · 18/01/2007 19:34

Hullo all, just dropping in to say hi, boy did you lot get loads done today. As for me, guess what, more blinkin' packing!

JustIvor · 18/01/2007 19:58

shouldbe I had a little grin when I read the first part of your post. Some of it is pretty hard, I agree. Sorry that your ds has been ill. That's why he and your dd have been off form today, perhaps. You don't have a laundrette near you, do you? Not easy with little ones even if you do.

bewilderbeast I haven't had to pack to move house as the removals people have always done it for us. Well, I probably had to do the clothes, I can't remember. They definitely did the crockery and stuff. I don't envy you that task.

tort Good on you for doing the exercise DVD. When I walk the dog I tell myself that I'm doing myself some good as well as her.

My morning tomorrow is going to be sorting out the kitchen, hall and dining room and sitting room as a bare minimum. I rang the police today about the vehicles speeding through the village so I've got a PC coming to see me from 1pm tomorrow! Yikes! In order for him to see the speeding passing traffic tomorrow whilst he is here, I need to have a big tidy up or I'd die of shame. Oh, heck. Well, I work better when I have a deadline.

luda You don't sound your normal self. I'll e-mail you in a mo.

shouldbedoingthehousework · 18/01/2007 21:09

No ivor nearest launderette is 8 miles away! The neighbour two doors along has a key to next door and will let me in in the morning so I can do some washing - I know my neighbour won't mind, she's always v helpful, esp in a crisis!

See you all in the morning I expect...I'll probably keep both kids off school tomorrow unless dd wakes up much brighter in the morning - she's not been ill as such yet so may be OK. Ds was fine after being sick though and even complained that he was hungry! This is typical after I was just saying to a friend yesterday that we'd been very lucky and not been ill at all yet this winter!

OP posts:
JustIvor · 18/01/2007 21:14

I hope you manage to get the washing done okay tomorrow shouldbe.

Someone shout at me to go away and tidy up so that I don't leave it all 'til tomorrow, please!
