Best laundry detergent to stop colours fading?

I currently use persil colour but it's not doing the trick. A couple of dresses I bought last month look faded after only a handful of washes!

Has anyone found one that actually does stop colours fading?

do you dry them outside? use too much detergent?

I find washing clothes inside our really helps to keep their colour.

I don't think I use too much detergent. I hang them up on hangers usually, stops me having to iron

Is it bio powder?

We've been living in the UK for about 9 months and my clothes are ruined! Stuff fades sooo quickly, everything is bobbled and if I accidentally put something half decent in the dryer load it has to be thrown out.

Please help me not have wrecked clothes!

Everything is dried inside. Interesting theory about too much detergent, that's a definite possibility. Not used to having such a small machine and probably using close to same amount as before with my bigger one.

I use to use Persil Colour in the past and a couple of my really nice tops started to become faded because this detergent was just too strong. I did however manage to find this Laundry Detergent online and it's amazing. It's made from all natural extracts and it's never faded any of my clothes since i started using it. You may want to give this one a try.

Powder is best for whites, towels, bedsheets, dishcloths etc whereas liquid is better for coloureds and dark clothes. Especially jeans.
Ecozone non-bio liquid from Dunelm is good as it contains no bleach or optical brighteners so colours don't fade as much. Bear in mind that no matter what you use, colours will always fade over time in the wash. Don't use liquid for everything though as it can make your machine moldy and smelly.

Always follow the dosing instructions on the box/bottle.
