no motivation to tidy dd room!!

I keep the rest of the house spotless but I have no motivation to go into dd room to give it a thorough clean
I do the basics make beds open curtains and Windows dust Hoover and try and put stuff away
But she shoves stuff in drawers under beds, pulls clothes out of drawers and Rams them back in one of her friends has burst her wardrobe so door is off
Papers everywhere the list goes on
How can I find my mojo to go in and blitz it?

How old is she? I'd probably leave it and get her to do it.....might make her a bit more aware of what it takes to keep it clean?! Close the door and walk away, and do something more fun with that time (but also this advice comes from someone who loathes cleaning!)

If she is old enough to make the mess then she is old enough to clean the mess just walk away

She's just turned 11 it's easier said than done walking out and shutting the door

I would ensure there's somewhere for everything to go and then clear anything that's left out every couple of weeks or so. My dc's rooms can be a bit like this. I've also used redeorating and people staying over (and resulting juggling of rooms) as an excuse to declutter. Eldest not bothered by this approach and is not interested in what goes. Youngest then spends time putting everything to rights.

I'm not at the pre teen stage yet, but could you set aside a couple of hours and do it with her? Maybe get her some of those stand up paper folder things for her loose bits and show her how to give everything a place, remove or fix up her wardrobe doors and use the time as a semi bonding, chat type one on one.

I have an 11 year old and she's old enough to blitz it herself - although she likes me to sit on the bed while she goes through everything!! But it's her decision what she keeps or chucks. I'd try and fix the wardrobe as if her room is looking tired or scruffy then she may lack motivation to keep it looking nice.
