How can I get the showers screen seals clean?

Hoping someone can help! The rubber seals along the bottom of our shower screen always look black and revolting. We have taken them off an soaked them in bleachy water, scrubbed with an old toothbrush and tried bicarb.
All of these have improved them but never got them completely clean and they get dirty again really quickly.
Any suggestions please?

I was in the same situation and ended up replacing the seal. Maybe that is an option for you?

I use my steam mop with the jet attachment and blast them. They'll be clean but not sparkling. They never regain the colour.

I did wonder about replacing the seal. Assume you can get them in B&Q or somewhere?

We gave up recently after trying and failing to get rid of mildew with every bleaching style product we could find. We re-sealed in the end. You pull the old seal off then re-do it with a sealant you buy from a DIY shop. It's a shitty task and tricky to get it all straight, but worth it once it's done!

I replaced the sealing and bought the replacement on amazon - it was all much easier than I had thought.

I buy them from an ebay shop for less than £5 delivered. Usually 1metre long and you just cut to size. You need to take a couple of measurements to get correct seal for your screen but it's a lot easier than wasting time trying to clean them.

Thanks Cheesecake - I rarely replace because it costs about £14 to replace the seal from my local plumbers and Wickes for branded seals.
