Crayon/pen on wooden blocks

What's the best way to get it off? Soap? Pledge like you use on floors? Detergent?

My little one is always making crayon marks round the house. I use a product called Goo Gone. I brought it online and it's magic. It will remove the crayon marks easily and many other household stains/marks.
