Monthly household cost for a family of 3

How much is your household grocery and household bill please?
This would include food, cosmetics, cleaning products, medication and all items you would normally purchase online or in supermarkets for the household.
Ours is somewhere around £800 but we almost never eat or buy coffee or take-aways out so it covers all meals and all household essentials including kid's stuff.
I am wondering if it is too high.

If you can comfortably afford it then no, it's not too high but if you need to trim it then you could easily, less branded food, cheaper cosmetics and cleaning products, all the usual advice. I could easily spend £1k a month but at the moment the budget is tight due to replacing a couple of kitchen items and having essential work done on the house so food/cleaning is around £60 a week, including wine (essential)

All bills and household expenses family of 3 (1adult) £1100 per month. We rarely eat out.

Considerably less than that and we have twice the people you do. But who gives a shit? It's your money, if you can afford it crack on!

Probably about half of yours. But that doesn't mean yours is too high. If you can afford it, then don't worry.

I can't say it worries me but I was curious how much everyone spends.

We don't have a car, a TV and our mobile bills are £17 a month.
I buy most of DD's clothes on eBay and I cycle to work so I save up £150 for travel card so we are quite frugal in that respect but I do buy organic food, loads of fresh veg and environmentally friendly cleaning products.
We don't struggle and many times the bills will include kitchen utensils and other stuff.

A similar amount. £150-200 per week in waitrose plus various top ups in between. That doesn't include our lunches Monday to Friday but does include food for our nanny.

Thanks eurochick. Ours covers lunches as well. Also, I've just realized that it includes gas and electricity. I ran our expenses trough a programme but forgot that we would use a portion of cash withdrawals and cash back to top up. We are with ecotricity who have the same tariff for all meters so our energy bills are reasonable. All household costs including all bills, council tax and ground rent but excluding mortgage in Central London are around £1000 then, which is okay-ish I guess.
