Deep fitted sheet nightmare

daxydynamo · 04/05/2016 19:43

We bought both kids new mattresses, turns out they are ridiculously deep and I am having problems getting fitted sheets to fit. Bought dunelm extra deep fitted sheets but these don't go on at all, and I ended up ripping the stitching trying to get the thing on!!!! Please can you lovely bunch tell me where to get sheets to fit these monstrosities...?
Thank you

Asda have some extra deep fitted sheets as do John Lewis.

Alternatively try flat sheets?

whirlygirly · 04/05/2016 20:25

John Lewis and t k maxx

Horopu · 04/05/2016 20:33

I got some from M&S.

JaneHair · 04/05/2016 20:51

I have extra deep fitted ones from marks and spencer and they are ace.

Woodhill · 04/05/2016 20:56

Yes M&S or John Lewis, both excellent

Niceteeth · 04/05/2016 20:58

House of fraser do them, you can order online.

OurBlanche · 04/05/2016 21:01

Amazon... I ended up at Amazon as non of the previous shops mentioned sell deep ones that are actually deep enough... I think I ended up with a 16inch box, good cotton in different colours for less than £10.

Melfish · 05/05/2016 18:25

Some John Lewis ones are deep, got one for our bed by accident- mattress wasn't deep enough!

Standingonmytippytoes · 05/05/2016 18:28

Hotel collection extra deep are the only sheets that fit on my seemingly huge bloody mattress. They're not overly expensive. As far as I recall.

Emochild · 05/05/2016 18:30

Get fitted sheets for a double -the standard ones stay on a deep single no problems

unlucky83 · 05/05/2016 18:40

Ikea tell you on their fitted sheets 'suitable for mattresses up to X cm deep'
I know because I bought a new mattress from them - had one in my online basket and thought I'd get some new bedding at the same time but realised their standard fitted sheets wouldn't fit that mattress - so I got a cheaper mattress thinking I didn't need the hassle ....

Kenworthington · 05/05/2016 18:58

I get mine from John Lewis

openthecurtains · 05/05/2016 20:10

Sainsbury deep fit are working well for me.

mountaintoclimb · 05/05/2016 20:13

I get mine from M&S. They fit perfectly.

Mitfordhons · 05/05/2016 20:15

Go for flat sheet, I found even the deep ones that fit ping off.

Timeforacatnap · 05/05/2016 21:40

Don't know if this works on single beds but for a double deep mattress I use standard king size fitted sheets and these fit well for me.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 05/05/2016 21:41

it didnt occur to me to size up. Will try our double on dds single and see how that goes. If it works then we can have nice new sheets - result!

daxydynamo · 05/05/2016 22:14

It didn't occur to me to do that Emochild. I think I will take a look at John Lewis, failing that double up! Thank you everyone xxxx
