Food Steamers?

Hello lovely people!
I'm in the market for a new food steamer but not sure which would be best. Are the electric ones better or the pan style ones that go on the hob?

Definitely a stainless hob type. Mine is 28 years old, stainless with stainless handles, nothing to go wrong. Used virtually every day.

Another vote for a pan type one. Mine's really old & it's used all the time. I always cook potatoes and vegetables in it, plus the pudding at Christmas.
