Can I steam clean kitchen cupboards?

I've just unearthed a steam cleaner that I was given and never used. Will it ruin my kitchen cupboards (laminate) if I use it to clean them? Also thinking about using it on internal doors which are painted.

Yes it will ruin them - don't do it! Not sure about internal doors.
