Dave is my middle name...and I shaved my hands just for Ivor!

ds went incredibly shy..but made up for it in the car!! Thanks for the invite We might just take you up on that.

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 17:10

oh...and dd1 LOVES the magazine ...she has been busy drawing in the notebook since she got in from school!
Her afterschool club was cancelled so it was a very good distraction!

JustIvor · 11/01/2007 17:16

Ah, that's good luda. Of course, we can meet up again before the summer. I just need about 6 mths to sort out the house to make it "company ready".

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 17:29

Well you are most welcome here! Anytime...(as long as you don't give too much away about my lack of FLYing! )

I have still not put the washing away..
I also need to give dd2 a bath, she has butter in her hair and is now covered in banana!
She had a super long sleep in the car aswell so she is full of beans!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 11/01/2007 17:33

ruby I'm so sorry your day has been so rotten {{{hugs}}}. It must be so hard with your MIL so poorly and now with your poor cat - I had to have a dear feline friend put to sleep some years ago and it was awful {{{hugs for that too}}} I hope things improve soon x
satinshoes - chin up x
ivor and luda sounds like you two had fun!
tort hello

My afternoon has continued to go badly - dd has been awful and so her and ds are already getting ready for bed and I hope to have them both in bed no later than 6.15. I'll snap otherwise!

tortoise · 11/01/2007 17:46

Seeing as im getting no replies on my thread i will ask FLYers opinions!

DD2 was going everynight nappy free and staying dry. Last few weeks its got steadily worse to the point now where its nearly every night/morning shes waking wet. Back to nappies or another option? ( I take her for a wee at night but she sometimes still wakes wet in the morn!)

tortoise · 11/01/2007 17:48

Hello shouldbe. Hope you get the to bed soon and have some peace.

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 18:13

hmm...tort could you try pull up type pants for a little while, my ds had pull ups at night...we called them "night time pants"

I wonder what has made her wet again...
Do you think she might be comming down with something? Ds had a few nights of wetting, when he was ill over xmas.
Other than that something might be bothering her?

I make sure my two don't have drinks near bedtime and make them wee before they get into bed....even if they say they don't need a wee I make them try...

shouldbedoingthehousework · 11/01/2007 18:14

hooray! Kids in bed

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 18:15

oh well done shouldbe! There is no way mine could go so early they would all just get up again!!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 11/01/2007 18:17

tort my dd had times when she'd be dry and times when she'd wet the bed so we used pull-ups "bed-time pants" right up until she was 4 then she wanted to stop and has been OK since although we do sometimes lift her before we go to bed if she's had a lot to drink close to bedtime. Ds still wears pull-ups at night too although he's starting to get himself up for a wee in the night now. how old is your dd? HV said they don't worry about kids being dry at night until they are 7!

shouldbedoingthehousework · 11/01/2007 18:19

luda as long as the bedtime routine is the same we can get ours to bed early if they're tired enough (and believe me, tonight they were!) They were both still looking at books in bed when I left them but I don't think they'll get out of bed (they wouldn't dare, the mood I'm in!)

tortoise · 11/01/2007 18:44

She is 2.6. Don't think she is ill or coming down with anything.
Might buy some pull uos. She seems quite pleased with the idea of wearing a nappy!
She always has a bottle of milk around 6.30.Bed at 7ish! Wee before bed.

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 19:41

Our bed time routine used to be brilliant...bath, book, bed and that was just great they were happy with that. They would all be tucked up and asleep by 7.30pm..any earlier and they got up too early the next day!!!
It seems that since they had chicken pox in November they have gone all to pot! Ds is suddenly scared of the dark, and has started sleeping with the light on...he had C.P. very bad and had to go to hospital because he had fits.He whines the minute he knows its bedtime and lies in bed with the light on, wimpering most nights. He also asks to come in our bed a lot (he's 3 and a half)
Dd1 is a nightmare! She faffs about for ages..going for a wee..wanting the curtains open..getting teddies. Then just as we think she is asleep she creeps downstairs and pleads to stay up for "Just 5 Minutes". She then has a strop when she gets taken back up. She said to me last night that she wished she was a mummy so she could stay up late! (she's 5 and a half)
Dd2 is fine...she goes down about 7 ish...but I have to lie with her and everyone else has to be quiet!
Nights like tonight when dh is working late its a mare!!! I have to leave the two olderones watching tv while I get dd2 to sleep...otherwise their bedtime shananagans wakes her up and it all goes horribly wrong!!!!!

Dd2 is in bed...and the other two are going up now....I hate bed time lately!!!!!

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 19:45

Oh god..you see...mere mention of the word bed...ds is whining and moaning and dd1 is protesting!!!!!

tortoise · 11/01/2007 19:47

Oh Luda. Sounds a real nightmare.
((( Hugs )))

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 20:24

Aw Thanks tort

Well..ds is asleep now but I had to get into bed with him as his whimpering was getting louder and louder!!
Dd1 is awake but in bed (I had to resort to bribary )
Its not too bad when dh is around as he just gets cross and they do as they are told!! I get cross and feel so so guilty that they have gone to bed upset! I have to go up and give them a hug!

We still have the same routine..they have all had a bath, I have started skipping the book because ds gets more upset when it has finished! Just no idea why it has got so stressful!!

Anyway!

As I was lying with ds..I was thinking of my to do list! I'll write it now so I don't forget!!

~Dishwasher needs emptying and reloading (can't be faffed doing it now!)
~Tidy bedrooms
~Clean Bathroom
~Washing/Drying to swop over
~Wash spare duvet cover (dd1 has the spare duvet as she is always cold in bed)
~De clutter sideboard in living room
~Dust
~Do today's mission!

Think thats it!

Right off for a drink..and to watch Anthea!!!!

HazelNuts · 11/01/2007 21:08

Hi all.

Just a quick hello. We have been getting power cuts all day here To night the power just goes off for less than a second but its enough to turn the computer, TV and sky off Grrrrrrrrrrrr

I hope all are well and I hope to get on here more tomorrow.

tortoise · 11/01/2007 21:09

Hi HN.
Hope elec stays on now. Must be annoying having it flicker off and on.

I hope mine doesn't go off!

HazelNuts · 11/01/2007 21:16

Hi tort

It is really annoying!!

I did not try and login until 8pm. The power had been on then for about an hr without going off. Comp is about ready when it goes

It went off just as a was about to post my first post. Just lurk tonight I think. If I get to even do that.

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 21:19

Hi HN...my comp. keeps crashing!

Its very fustrating!!

Is it the weather that makes your electric go off???

HazelNuts · 11/01/2007 21:31

Hi luda.

I don't think I am suppose to use my computer this week.
Sunday No B/B
Monday.Tuesday and most of Wednesday No Phone line.

And today the power keeps going off.

I think it must be the wind. The lights keep going dim and then goes off and back on again.

In the day though its been going off for a few minutes at a time.

The SKY box and Comp are the worst though. Have to wait so long before they are up and working again

ludaloo · 11/01/2007 21:36

what a bugger!!!!!!

Our electic goes off and on when there is a storm...its been ok with the wind so far [fingers crossed emoticon]

I have been trying to wait up for dh but I'm knackered now!

Sleep well all...see you tomorrow
