Steam mop recommendations please

I had a cheap Adobe steam mop which has worked fine but after 2 years has died (My daughter claims 'Smoke just started coming out'?...)

Do I go for another cheapy or can you promise my life (and floors) will be transformed if I invest more?

Your thoughts please!

Place marking

I had a vax, but now have amtico flooring so can't use steam to clean. Vax didn't revolutionise my floors. I just liked it because it did the job of the mop without all the faff of wringing out in the bucket etc.

The Karcher one is good, it's easy to use and wades through the greasy floors and oven etc. You have to hoover or sweep first of course.

I have a thane x5 h20 and love it, not just great for floors but Windows sinks, garments and my children's toys and high chairs

PPeat does your karcher one have a separate tank - that looks a bit tiresome?
The Thane looks good. Still deliberating - but my floors are getting dirtier...

No it's all one, very easy, and believe me I don't usually say that about most 'convenience' products. It's a SC 2.500 C.

I love my Karcher one, I did have a handheld one but it was too heavy for DH (he has MS) but my new one is just the ticket :)

I have a shark one you can use both sides on that I love, but the X5 would always be my preference!
