a mop that cleans the floor, not just move dirty water about?

I have 2 small DC, food generally hits the kitchen floor during mealtimes in and I often don't have the awareness or time to wipe up splashes or small spills that day immediately. We have a vileda Magic mop which doesn't do much more than push water about like a sponge & the abrasive bit is pretty useless. Any suggestions for it's replacement?

A mop plus a commercial-restaurant type long handled scrubbing brush - mop/slosh water onto floor, quick scrub with long handled scrubber, mop with wrung out mop to remove the dirty water - works a treat!

Steam mop. I love mine! Gets up all the muck left behind by a messy toddler and 2 older boys who aren't exactly clean and tidy either. Even if I've left it a week! or three

I use pound shop mop hands. They are made of a weird fabric not string. I use zaflora & my floors come up very clean.

Use 2 buckets, one with your cleaning solution and the other with clean water to rinse the mop in otherwise you're trying to wash the floor with dirty water.

Those mop buckets that have a foot pedal to wring the mop out are great.

I just use the standard vileda mop.

Thanks for the advice all, steam mop sounds just too good an idea... May have to make the investment. But will also definitely try zaflora too, poss time to accept my kitchen floor needs more attention than the occasional wipe with tesco own.

A steam mop I highly recommend it

I have a microfiber mop from Lake land that has a squeegee on it so you can get all the dirty water up.
