Hoover that won't scratch wood floors?

Frontstep · 09/04/2016 22:20

Our Hoover has died and need to replace. We have wood floor in half our downstairs space, and till now we have banned hoovering on it as it seemed to scratch the wood (never sure whether it's the head or the wheels or both). Anyone got a Hoover that they're happy with on wood? Thanks

A Henry? It's heavy and falls over all the time, so it's annoying in those respects, but it has at least two deep brush settings that you use on wooden floors that are good at getting the dirt up but leaving the floor in good condition.

My miele cylinder doesn't scratch.

You need a Henry. You just switch the brush attachment button and it glides over the floor!

My Henry's don't fall over either.

Another vote for Miele. They do a hard floor tool with very soft bristles as an optional extra

My mum always used a Henry on her wooden floors

miele cylinder although I've had other brands and they never scratched the floor

donajimena you must have yours better trained. Mine rolls over on its side like a puppy every time I use it.
