It is a heavy kingsize. I managed to squash it into my 7kg machine but it was making this vile noise as it turned so i took it out.

It needs washed and i'd rather not pay £12 at the dry cleaners.

Can i wash it in the bath or will i never get it dried? Would i be able to squeeze enough water out to get it into the washing machine for a spin?

Not unless you have a ten man squad with you. It absorbs its size in water. Is impossible to manoever, squeeze, rinse. Don't do it. Believe me £12 is a bargain to save your sanity.

Gah. Thought so. Dry cleaners it is then.

I tried washing a single duvet in the bath and it took 2 of us to squeeze it out even a bit and then 2 to carry it downstairs in a tuff tub, 2 of us to get it on the line where it stayed for 3 days in the summer and still needed a day inside in the conservatory. It's really not worth it!

Eeep!! Definitely not. Its in the bag for the dry cleaner already.

Why not just take it to the launderette?

RudeElf · 09/04/2016 22:35

We dont have any.
