Make my loo smell fragrant!

I clean it once a week with toilet cleaner and leave bleach in it. In between times I'll give it a clean if it needs one. But it STILL smells of wee yucky...
Any advice on how to get it smelling fresher?
Unfortunately we don't have a window in the bathroom and the extractor fan is broken but I leave the bathroom door open all day.

check the fittings, seat, floor and surrounding.

When we moved in here the previous dirty scutters owners were obviously quite laissez faire about their toilet habits.....I ripped out the lino immediately which helped, but the boards needed some fairly intensive bleaching and scrubbing over a period of several weeks before I felt that I could not smell pee

and you should get the extractor fixed before the black mould takes over the house.
