Quick question about internal doors

If we strip our internal doors down to the original wood finish then would we need to strip all the surrounds etc as well for it to look right or could we get away with painted surrounds?

We have stripped doors with the surround in white gloss...looks fine to me.

ours are stripped doors with painted surround. Thats how w e did it in our old house and how they are here in a house we've just moved to.

We have wooden doors & painted surrounds -seems OK to me - in fact I just had to do a quick check to see what the surrounds were, so you can see it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb iyswim

Yep. That's how we had it in our old house.

I just had a look, as our doors are wooden and all the surrounds are painted .. never even noticed that before!

Thanks guys that was the right answer! Just wanted to make sure we weren't making a huge gaffe. We know from the neighbours house that the doors are fab stripped but they have wood surrounds and skirting boards as well.
Right I'll get the Yellow Pages out, those doors are being stripped! Not that my life is ruled by the combined wisdom of MN or anything!
