Have had couple of days off as dd started school and I didn't want to be round the house when they weren't here and didn't want to do housework when they were so a bit of a slide but I am back and will be flying again at teh weekend - well monday....

You all seem to be working really hard. tortoise missed any outburst or whatever so don't know what you are talking about. Hope you aren't going anywhere - would miss you loads.

satinshoes am amazed when I see you on here having logged onto the computer with a babe so tiny - let alone read that you have been doing housework!!!

Washing up done three times so far
Clothes Drying and putting away done
Recycling done twice now
Telephone book ordered done
Beef casserole done
Clean sheets on all beds done
Washing of sheets almost done
Re book pedicure done
Bedroom mine started
General tidy up started
Work! yeah right
Ds room started
Light shades put up in hallway done

(sorry didn't mean to point out the obvious but I sat for a good five minutes trying to find the ^ sign the other day!!!! Sometimes you just can't see for looking!!!!! )

Well I managed to complete my list, and sort through the clothes. I still have at least another load of washing...I never ever manage to empty the basket! But that can wait..I'm sick of the sound of the W/M.

I found the potato masher in the bottom of my wardrobe today too!!!...god only knows how and when it got there but I had been looking for it for yonks! I had to mash xmas day potatoes with a fork in the end!!!!

Here we are then, once I got going I did quite well

~take down Christmas tree done
~Floors need a mop and a hoover but not worth doing till tree is gone hoover done (will mop tomorrow)
~iron - put off from yesterday (pile is HUGE) done
~put away ironing done
~make beds done
~do several loads of washing (towels and 2x clothes) 2 loads done
~get organised enough to make proper tea for kids done and eaten
~friend wants to come for a cuppa done and was able to relax
~hoover upstairs - firstly need to pick up toys/clothes from bedroom floors picked everything up but didn't hoover
~unload dw done
~dh wants me to run some errands which will involve an almost 30 mile round trip - he had to wait

Well done glitter, lots of "dones"

grouchyoscar I lost my wedding ring about a month after my dh and I got married - was a horrible feeling....a friend then rang to say she'd received it in with a parcel I'd sent her. Hope yours turns up soon too.

God, I missed my fix this morning, having got up late for work. Not intending on doing anything tonight but will be back in the morning with my list of stuff to do!

Hello all. Just a quick post. I've not done well today. My list:-
~ post thank you notes
~ do some ironing (did some, need to do some more)
~ cancel magazine subscription looked into it, need to ring them
~ do about 3 loads of washing done and dried
~ walk the dog done
~ maybe go shopping. If not e-mail a list to dh for him to do tomorrow now instead as dh came home early
~ book a haircut for me tomorrow instead
~ cleaned the shower done

On the plus side. The washing up is done. The bowl is knackered though and is a devil to replace as it is so rectangular. N. B. You can't think of any options other than Woolies and Charlies and that all sorts place near Mecca can you, luda? Also, there isn't a farmers market in town tomorrow is there? By my reckoning it should be a week tomorrow.
The decs are off the tree and in the attic. The tree is staying up until tomorrow and I missed taking down one card so I hope that qualifies us as having our decs up until the 12th night. I helped dd make her fairy cakes and straighten her hair. That took a bit of time as I'm clueless with hair and it's the first time she has done it since it was cut.

Just a quick poll. Who thinks that hair like that blonde woman in Coronation Street who was going to marry Fred Elliot (Shelley's mother?) is naff? I'm thinking of having my hair done like that. At the moment it is a bit Deirdre Barlow-like but longer with blonde bits in. Don't I sound awful?!!! All suggestions welcomed!

Also, sorry to taylormama (have I got the name right? I've pressed preview and don't want to go back and lose this post). I hope something else comes along. I had to be prepared to find something else nearly 2 yrs ago when it looked like I was going to lose my job. I had a few ideas and, though I did keep my job and didn't need to use the ideas, it started me thinking of doing something else and that restless feeling hasn't gone away. Sorry, just rambling on here! Oh dear, this was supposed to be a short post. I'd best sign off and crack on with something.

Ivor I do post like your last one. I start off with not much to say then end up writing a story.
As to the hair, I would not know as I don't watch corrie.

~Put Clothes away (hate doing)Done

I think I have done well today. I feel that I have done too much though. My joints hurt more tonight

I`m going to have a lovely hot bath now.
