washable double duvets?

I am looking for a washable double duvet - I see that Asda and silent night do produce these, but are they actually washable in a standard domestic washing machine?? I've got single duvets that don't blinking fit!

I'm not looking to spend squillions, but would like to wash my duvets at home, as the price of doing them at the laundrette is about the price of a new duvet...

We have this kind, in all seasons, so you get a 4.5 and 9 tog. We bought singles for the kids and a king size for us. They fit in the washing machine. The King has to be done separated. But they wash so well and drap beautiful. Well worth the money.
