I have a fantastic JL King size duvet and I desperately need some new bedding. In terms of size, will all shops king size bedding fit it or is it like IKEA where you have to stay shop-specific?

AFAIK, it's just IKEA who have a different size, so JL, M&S, white company etc etc etc should all be standard sizes.
Should all be about 225*220cm
Happy shopping

Going for king size quilt covers and quilts will not cover. You need. Super king. Looks much nicer and prevents the quilt being hogged by the other half
Good luck

All shops will fit.

However, DH and I now have a double each (on a super-king bed) and it's the Best Thing Ever. He can have a piddly 4.5 tog that he wraps up in a cocoon and I have a 10.5 tog that lays neatly over me, except for the sticky-out leg.

I found a hotel bedding wholesaler website which is really good! High quality products & you don't have to order in bulk. It's called www.hilden.co.uk/ .

I get my towels from there too.
