what's the difference between these kenwood mixers?

I'd like to get a kenwood Kmix hand mixer (my mum has one and I love it) but have seen that they have another cheaper model for £20 in John Lewis - plasticky and not as heavy but wondering if there is a real difference apart from speed?

One I want

The difference is 2 speed settings and 70 watts. The more expensive one has 350W and 5 speed settings. The less expensive one has 280W and 3 speed settings.
