Help! Ruined brand new chrome taps with loo cleaner

Hi,

Hoping someone can help me! We've just had a brand new bathroom put in but have a problem with limescale building up really quickly as we're in a hard water area. Some recommended cleaning with antu-limescale loo cleaner but unfortunately a left on "for a few minutes" this morning then forgot all about it and went to work. I've come back and all the chrome looks like its been tarnished and I think I've pretty much ruined all the nice new chrome in our shower/bath...

Does anyone know if/how I can fix it?!

I think you need more taps. I did the same and it never recovered.

I use vinegar now.

New taps! I did this too arghh

All I can think of before you buy new is to sand them with very fine paper then paint them.

One of the reviews says they painted their taps & they are really good. Got to be worth a try.
