eldest dd's share a room. there is plenty of storage in there for toys etc, clothes in one place, dressing up box and 2 boxes under bed. i ask them to kweep their room tidy. lately they have been cleaning it rather quickly. so today i busted them, and have pulled toys out of the wardrobe, under beds, down sides of drawers etc and told them to clear it properly. there is a mountain of dirty laundry in amongst it all ,as well as cups. There isnt enough room for a dirty laundry bin in there, but they tend to get dressed/undress in the front room and carry it through to the bathroom anyway.

so am i being a mean mummy by making them do it again?

No such thing as a too mean mummy!

DimpledThighs · 02/01/2007 18:32

no - it is a valuable lesson to learn.

I would say they will thank you for it one day, but I sincerely doubt it!
