2 year old Neff fridge freezer packed up!!!

Has this happened to anyone else? We refitted outer kitchen and installed all Neff white goods 2 and half years ago we have an American style fridge freezer it's now out of its warranty and has packed up, its not freezing or keeping things cold in the fridge - we've had to chuck out loads. Fortunately we can use a small fridge in our motorhome for some things and a little drinks fridge in the utility room. But this is an expensive fridge freezer we bought it because of the quality and the good reviews

We've rang Neff and they're coming out Monday - we've taken out an extra years insurance as it's probably cheaper than the repair might cost. We've told them this is a big unpleasant surprise to us that we weren't expecting from such a high quality brand. We're going to write to Neff HQ as well

I think you are being hasty before they've had a chance to come and look at it and repair it if that is what is required. Have you followed the instructions on defrosting and cleaning, etc?

Yes, Wowfudge we've done all those things and we spoke by phone to Neff and went through all possible options to try with them and they think it is the pump or condenser. So we'll wait and see.....

Hi just update, an engineer came out today to inspect the fridge freezer and he diagnosed the problem as the condenser having packed up!! This is a 2 1/2 year old fridge, credit to to Neff they agreed that it shouldn't have gone and have refunded the money we paid with out for insurance and they will replace the condenser free of charge .......Next Tuesday 8th, the soonest they've got someone with the skill to do the replacement.

So, we'll be storing what we can in a small fridge in our motorhome on the drive and it's ready meals and pub meals til next week. It's surprising how much you come to rely on a fridge freezer.
