Getting milk stains off ceiling help?

DD threw a cup of milk up in the air and the ceiling is spattered with it and it won't just wipe off! It looks bad when the light is on! Any ideas please? I've wiped it with warm water and tried a bit of ciff to no avail.

I got blueberry juice on the ceiling last year. Ceiling paint has a special texture to give the impression of hight. The dirt can not really be cleaned, no matter what I used the dirt just smeared. I had to repaint the whole ceiling, but it takes less time than it seems. If your's was recetly repainted you just need to do that spot, and if it's been a while you might be amazed at the difference it makes.

I cant repaint. This is a rental and we might not be here long....paint is very expensive here.
