Morning All

Asleep You could be in our house! ds is moaning at me for toast I'll do it just now!
We are also taking decorations down today. I'm going to miss the twinkly lights though...dh bought a Santa on a Rope Ladder..but the ladder is made of lights (IYSWIM) Its very bright actually...we don't need the main lights on when that is on!

HN Thanks for the translation! Hope you are feeling better today..get some rest and hope you are on the mend.

Tort glad to see you

Well my headache has gone but I had a crap nights sleep....kids didn't actually give up and go to sleep until about 9.45pm and I was absolutely dead on my feet! My dd2 wouldn't settle so I bought her in our bed, she kept headbutting me and waking up and hocking her lungs up (NICE!), then DH came home at about 11.30 pm last night and woke me up just to tell me he was home and he was going to make himself something to eat!
Then when he came to bed at about 1 o clock this morning he woke me up again as Horny as a devil...I was not impressed...after trying very hard to pretend to be fast asleep I rolled dd2 in the middle and he soon got the message. MEN! FGS!
I now have a sneeking suspision he'll be in a mood this morning

Well...the smell in the kitchen seems to of gone...I think it might of been the sink..so thanks dreamteamgirl for your help!

Have a good day xx

Hi,

My thoughts are with your MIL and your family ruby...

To do;
Change kids beds
Take down Christmas lights
Washing
hoover
Bathroom
shopping
put boxes in loft

I took down most of the decs last night, but the lights are nailed to the front window and may take a while to do.

Hi All!

Ruby, hope things improve for you soon!!

Well, so far I have made a cup of tea but I'm waiting for DH to go to work so I can get on with things. I never seem to be able to do anything with him here .

Need to do a few bits and pieces, my house is looking so much better since joining these threads! Plus I have to go into town, we have some relatives coming to stay for NY and need to get their Xmas presents .

IS there not a mission today??

Jelley · 30/12/2006 13:04

No missions at the weekend.
Saturday is Family Fun Day, Sunday is Renew the Spirit Day.[bleurgh emoticon]

I get more done without the dp too. I hate working while he is sat playing on the xbox I may give him the shopping list and send him out.

To do;
Change kids beds done
Take down Christmas lights done
Washing - 1st load still on
hoover done
Bathroom
shopping
put boxes in loft done

ludaloo · 30/12/2006 13:06

Phew! Thats everything down...tree and all its decorations bagged and put away.
Lights, Tinsel, Santa and his Ladder also put away...I broke some of the ceiling decorations, but I guess we can get more next year!
The living room looks like a big empty box now!! It needs a good hoovering to get all the needle and tinsel bits up. I'll need to get all the drawing pins out of everywhere too.
its all over...
[happy] it was brill though!

Right...to do...
hoover
good dust and wipe around
washing
pick all the pins out of everywhere
kitchen....god it looks like a food bomb has gone off in there!

lazylou no missions on weekends...I think you are supposed to go out and have fun with your family according to the FLY site. No such luck here though!

Thanks as always Ludaloo!

DH has finally gone off to work and I'm sat here staring at the mess, not really knowing where to start.

I know I need to do my load of washing, but unfortunately, the four loads I did 2 days ago still isn't dry and it's literally draped over every available surface; radiators (that don't actually work), the clothes airer, and even hanging off the curtain track in the living room.

My sink still looks fantastic but everywhere else is in a bit of a state. I'm itching to take down the decs but need DH to find all the boxes for all the bits.

So plan of action today:

Picking up all the crap from the floor in the living room

Hoovering and dusting

Cleaning the hallway (may even tackle the skirting boards )

Bathroom (I really hate this particular job! There are no cupboards or shelves to put anything so went out and bought baskets which hold everything, except the stuff that is supposed to be in the bathroom!)

Hope everone is having a good day!

Lazylou · 30/12/2006 14:27

I need some motivation...

Lazylou · 30/12/2006 15:10

The tree is down and the decs away! Hurrah!! Now I can get on with the serious business of cleaning the place up!

ludaloo · 30/12/2006 16:34

Lazylou...keep going, you are doing brill. My tree is down and all the decs gone...it looks a bit bare but nice and tidy now.
(a good place to start is the place you really hate doing....you are like me obviously because i hate doing my bathroom too....i really hate it infact. I usually have to really make myself do it...but I always feel loads better when its done ....Same as putting washing piles away...HATE that job too)

Right...to do... list
hoover done
good dust and wipe around *done
washing done
pick all the pins out of everywhere done
kitchen....god it looks like a food bomb has gone off in there! done

I'm in the process of cooking dinner
Have been and fed my friends animals and noticed her washing machine had a wet load in so I've bought that home to dry for her (she doesn't get back until monday so I didn't want her coming back to stinky washing! She must of forgotten about that load)
Dishwasher is on and washing a load of ds toys I found in the shed...all mouldy and mingin!

Right better go finish dinner

Hoovering and dusting in living room done

Toys away in toy box in living room done

Daily load of washing (managed to make some space) done

Windowsill cleared of all rubbish done

Kitchen surfaces all wiped down done

Hot Spots (Really hate these)

Bathroom (really hate this job too)

Hallway almost done

ludaloo · 30/12/2006 16:53

I have now found a rug to put in the kitchen...not a brilliant colour to have on the floor of a kitchen (white and blue) but at least I can just scoop it up and shove it in the w/m when it gets mucky.
I've got a bit worried about smells..and decided if anything gets spilled and not cleaned up then at least there is a fair chance it might fall on the rug!?

Next chance I get I think I might go find some cheap mats or something in a darker colour.

Just a quick hello to Ivor Hope you are well....
