no friday mission!?

Doesn't seem to be a Friday Mission...unless I've done something wrong?

Well my main mission today are the wardrobes...I've been putting them off all week.

Morning to you all hope you have a good day

No probs Ludaloo.

Have you tried a bowl of water and vinegar for your smell?

ludaloo · 29/12/2006 14:49

ooooohhh....no....I'm having trouble locating it

OP posts:
dreamteamgirl · 29/12/2006 14:52

Well... I am told, but havent tried it that you just leave the bowl lying around and it 'absorbs' the smell. Half a potato is meant to help too.

Is anywhere damp? Try unrolling a couple of sheets of kitchen roll and squishing them across floor.

Alternatively could be summat dead behind a cupboard... Yuck!

ludaloo · 29/12/2006 14:57

oh I'll try that..thanks

I've pretty much gone all over the floor on all foors and can't feel a wet patch...I am hoping nothing has died...we do have a cat...but I had assumed it wouldn't be her....she hardly ever goes out and she's way too lazy...

Well I'll try the bowl of vinegar...It smells very odd though....I'm baffled!

Oooh just another random thought (can you tell it is quiet in office today?) have you checked it isnt sink blocked?

Thats quite a vile smell.

ludaloo · 29/12/2006 15:11

Well now you come to mention it...it is a vaguely gassy smell...and as we are all electric it couldn't possibly be gas. I tell you what it actually smells like (please forgive me for this..but it is the only smell that acurately smells like it...well...sperm
Its kind of a gassy sperm smell! LOL
It could well be the drain actually now I think about it..I have poored boiling water down the sink and a bit of bleach...but the main drain cover is right outside the back door maybe its a main drain smell....

OP posts:
ludaloo · 29/12/2006 15:21

Ok...just poured a couple of kettles of boiling water down the outside drain...and half a bottle of bleach...maybe that might help....
I'm hoping it isn't like a big blockage in the main drain (but I'm presuming that would smell of poo?)

Lol too much detail on the smelling descriptions..sorry!

OP posts:
dreamteamgirl · 29/12/2006 15:25

LMAO, No idea really... I wouldnt think so tho, cos doesnt that go in sealed pipes and stuff. If its somewhere you can pour stuff down it'll just be your watse water from sinks and bath wont it?

Anyway, if it doesnt clear maybe worth seeing if anyone has any polls to prod it with.

Good luck

grouchyoscar · 29/12/2006 17:03

Think I've got it...I always make a msn list to hubby to let him know what I've done anyway.

Well today I
Put the ironing away
tidied the kitchen
emptied DW and put away
vacced carpet
took Ds to the park and fished him out of the duck pond
came home, threw his clothes in the washer and let DH bathe him

the life of a sahm with a DS of 3.5 huh

grouchyoscar · 29/12/2006 17:05

BTW when we had stinky drains I called our water board and a man in a van came round with a long pioe and the smell has gone. but there wasn't a blockage.

CranberryJelley · 29/12/2006 17:14

Done.

Nice to see I did the mission without knowuing it.

Welcome new FLYers - there seem to be lots I don't recognise but I haven't been around much.

I'm itching to take the decorations down. I won't last much longer...has anyone else taken them down already?

oooh Lakeland! Did you both get some good stuff? I love buying kitcheny bits and bobs, and all the storage ideas are brill!

OP posts:
glitterfairyrenewed · 29/12/2006 18:16

Yes and there is a sale on as well! Brought a new thing for my sink to put cloths in and some sealers for bags as I never normally bother but am going to turn over a new leaf now. Also some hanging basket things for my shower in order to store all the bits and stop my bath being cluttered with gels and hair stuff. Cant remember what else but it was all helpful and will obviosuly revolutionsie my life and cause instant de cluttering!

ludaloo · 29/12/2006 18:24

aw well good! good luck de cluttering
