Try spraying hair spray on the biro and then wipe off. I had this before with a brown leather settee and it worked. Just a suggestion.

CMOTDibbler · 10/02/2016 10:07

Hairspray is the way to go - spray and wipe! Make sure you use a white cloth though

princessconsuelabannahammock · 10/02/2016 10:14

Hairspray didnt work! Arrggh. Any other ideas?

Nail varnish remover? The one with acetone in it.

Baby wipe Smile

Methalayted spirit (meths) certainly removes biro from clothes with no problems. I would try a drop in an inconspicuous place first, though.

Perfume- sounds silly but worked for me with biro on a white handbag!

Iamnotloobrushphobic · 10/02/2016 11:43

Them magic eraser sponges can get biro off any surface. They cost £1 for a pack of two.

whatawhoppa · 10/02/2016 11:59

my little darling drew all over white pvc door in biro. nothing was bringing it off. I had to tip blewch directly on it so it drippeddown over it and then scrubbed like fuck with the green side of the washing up spinge. it brought it off. tipping bleach directly onto sponge and wiping did fuck all though.

TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams · 10/02/2016 12:08

Cif?

Borninthe60s · 10/02/2016 13:55

Good old fairy liquid or cif, rub gently.

princessconsuelabannahammock · 10/02/2016 14:02

Nail varnish didnt work. I will pop out later and buy one of those magic eraser sponges. Then i will buy a pen pot and put all the pens out of reach. That will teach me. Apparently i wasnt quick enough in getting her paper was her response when asked why. She is now barred from sitting on the bar stools for a week - she loves having breakfast there.

Alcohol hand sanitiser gel

MrsJorahMormont · 14/02/2016 20:20

Sunlight helped us when DD got creative on a similar surface! Took a while though you could use it for any last traces.

TiggeryBear · 14/02/2016 20:22

Salt water should do the trick. Gets biro off most things.

nancy75 · 14/02/2016 20:29

perfume will get it off

CatsCantFlyFast · 14/02/2016 20:31

I heard hard boiled egg worked on biro (not kidding but have never tried it)

RB68 · 14/02/2016 20:41

bread - the nasty white sliced type, rub it with it

FinallyHere · 14/02/2016 21:10

Purfume, eau de toilette etc will do it, as if by magic.

Samred87 · 11/04/2017 15:23

Perfume worked for me on PINK biro my cream leather dining chairs. :)
