Marble tiles floor cleaning

I wish my husband who is in construction has told me how difficult marble/natural stone is to maintain and clean. We only moved 3 months ago and I already have stains and etching. Certainly Mr Muscle which I was using before will be inappropriate to clean the stone, can you recommend a good product that gets rid of all stains, couloring etc. .. Thanks.
It is a charcoal grey Spanish marble with white streaks.

I'd get a professional in to clean and seal them then look at maintaining myself.

Thanks. certainly I cannot call a professional every time my kids are not careful and spill something and create a stain. I will rather replace it with something easier for maintenance if I have to call a specialist.

I have bought a special detergent, just wanted to find out if someone has the same issue and share experience.

I have this problem in a wet room and a hard water area! No solution though :(

But if it is professionally cleaned and then properly sealed it should be a lot easier to deal with spills, etc? I wasn't for one minute suggesting you have it done as a regular thing. I used to work for a property management company and one of the company's buildings had a marble lobby. As it was quite a high traffic area it was given an annual professional clean and seal over a weekend to keep it in good nick.

Like a lot of natural materials, it will show signs of wear over time - you can never keep things like this looking perfect.

Hi StillYummy, we had the same problem with the hard water and my husband installed a gadget in the main to break the limescale in particles (not too sure if this description is correct) so we eliminated the hard water problem.

wowfudge, you are very right about what you are saying and I did not want to come across rude. The marble tiles were professionally sealed and I though they will last at least for one year, but they did not.

I work in facilities/property management for a massive building and we also have sealed natural stone areas. The sealing works are taking place on a regular basis but are with matt finish.

Certainly if I could chose I would have probably installed granitogress instead of marble.
