Sports Water bottles - water tasting strange

I wondered if I should clean the dishwasher but wasn't sure how to.

These are good quality water bottles that we use everyday and suddenly the water in them is tasting weird. Quite metalic.

We haven't changed our dishwasher tablets or rinse aid.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Try soaking with Milton in case they've got bugs.

Are they metal bottles? In which casenthe lining might have been breached or something.

Don't use milton if they are metallic.

No, they are not metal, they are Camelbak plastic ones.

I'd clean the dishwasher out, and give the bottles a really good clean. We have camelbak bottles where the valve can accumulate yuk in it which you can't see unless you take it right apart. So they get disassembled, poked with cotton buds, then a soak in milton, then another poke and all is well for another few months.
