Slim counter top tumble dryer?

Do they exist? I live in a rented flat with very little space. There is a combination washing machine and dryer. The drying bit is rubbish - takes hours to dry a load and obviously can't wash or dry at the same time. It has been serviced recently and the repairman said it was working fine - they just are rubbish.

We have just had DC 2 and the much rumoured washing increase is here! Also we have mould issues in the flat - so I tumble dry everything I can (amongst other measures).

So are there such things as condensing tumble dryers that are ultra slim and ok to go on a kitchen counter fairly hemmed in? I haven't researched yet as DS only 2 days old and I thought some wise MNers might have solved this already.

Never seen any, but if you have space for an airer then what about getting a dehumidifier with a clothes drying setting. Ours gets clothes dry really quickly and avoids damp.

a washer dryer won't dry a full load of washing at once. Have you tried splitting it into two and drying in two batches?

Thanks both.

Earslaps we have a dehumidifier but it's not the best and doesn't have that setting so if I can't find one that's definition my next option I think.

Banana I generally take out some stuff that can be dried, but yes maybe a more significant decrease would help. Will try.
